In the first part of this feature, we introduced eight outstanding international master's graduates whose journeys reflected academic effort, cultural exchange, and personal growth at Northwestern Polytechnical University.
In Part Two, we continue this story by highlighting seven more outstanding master's graduates. They come from different countries, disciplines, and research backgrounds, but they share a common experience: each of them came to NPU with ambition, worked hard through challenges, and grew into a stronger researcher, student, and global citizen.
Their achievements include research publications, scholarships, academic awards, international conferences, volunteer service, leadership roles, and future plans in advanced research and professional development. Together, their stories show the diversity and strength of NPU's international student community.
本专题的第一篇中，介绍了八位优秀国际硕士毕业生。他们以学术求索为笔，以文化交融为墨，在西北工业大学这片学术沃土上，书写下个人成长的华章。
第二篇中，我们将继续走进另外七位优秀硕士毕业生的故事。七位学子来自全球不同国家，分属不同学科领域，研究方向各具特色，却有着相似的追梦历程：怀揣理想抱负与未来憧憬相聚西工大，直面求学路上的重重挑战，勤勉笃行、潜心钻研；既实现了学术能力的精进提升，也完成了心智格局与国际视野的历练拓宽，逐步成长为综合素质过硬的国际化人才。
他们的优秀体现在方方面面：既有高水平学术论文持续发表、活跃亮相国际学术讲坛、斩获各类奖学金与荣誉表彰的科研实力，也有饱含热心志愿服务、践行领导力担当、明晰人生发展方向的综合素养。透过他们的成长足迹，得以感受西北工业大学国际学子多元共生、聚力向上的精神风貌与青春风采。
Nishimwe Adeline
Adeline completed her master's degree in Management Science and Engineering at Northwestern Polytechnical University. Her journey at NPU began in 2019, when she arrived in Xi'an without knowing Chinese and faced the challenge of adapting to a completely new environment. Over the years, NPU became her second home, supporting her personal, academic, and professional growth.
During her studies, Adeline achieved a GPA of around 94, published one journal paper and one conference paper, and received Excellent Student Certificates during both her undergraduate and master's studies. She also studied Chinese and reached HSK 5 level. Beyond academics, she actively participated in leadership, volunteering, club development, company visits, internships, and international events. She received awards including Best Speaker, Medal of Honor, and Best Participant. Her journey reflects confidence, adaptability, and a strong spirit of growth.
Nishimwe Adeline，毕业于西北工业大学，获管理科学与工程专业硕士学位。她的西工大求学之旅始于2019年，初到西安时，既不懂中文，又需克服全新环境的适应挑战。但多年求学生活，已让西工大成为她的第二个家，见证了她在个人能力、学术素养和职业发展等方面的成长。
在校期间，Adeline 学业成绩优异、专业功底扎实，GPA 高达 94 分，先后发表期刊论文 1 篇、会议论文 1 篇。凭借亮眼的学业表现与突出的科研素养，她在本科及硕士阶段均获评优秀学生荣誉。语言方面，她系统研修中文，已达到HSK 5 级流利应用水平。
在专业学习之余，她积极拓展综合素养，深度参与领导力实训、公益志愿服务、学生社团运营、企业走访参访、职场实习及国际交流等各类实践项目，并斩获最佳演讲者、荣誉奖章、最佳参与者等多项荣誉。
从初赴异国的青涩懵懂，到如今从容自信、沉稳笃定的蜕变成长，Adeline 的求学之路充分展现了极强的自信心、优秀的环境适应能力与持之以恒、不断精进的进取精神。
Mike Yondela
Mike Yondela, from Zambia, completed his Master of Computer Science at Northwestern Polytechnical University. Having also completed his bachelor's degree at NPU, Mike has spent more than seven years in the university community, growing academically, professionally, and personally.
His master's research focused on big data and blockchain system optimization, especially cross-shard routing, dynamic sharding, scalability, and reliability in distributed systems. He co-authored several research papers, including work presented at NAS 2024 and manuscripts under review or submission in blockchain and privacy-related journals. He also contributed to a National Key R&D Program project involving multi-modal data storage, Tendermint-based sharding networks, and hybrid storage architectures.
Beyond research, Mike became fluent in Chinese and helped more than fifty international students adapt to life and study in China. He also launched peer mentorship and academic writing support initiatives. His future goal is to advance blockchain infrastructure research and promote technology collaboration between Zambia and China.
Mike Yondela， 来自赞比亚，毕业于西北工业大学，获计算机科学专业硕士学位。本科和硕士七年多的求学经历让他在学术科研能力和综合素养均实现了全方位成长。
他的硕士研究方向是大数据和区块链系统优化，重点关注分布式系统中的跨分片路由、动态分片、可扩展性和可靠性。他与实验室团队合作完成并发表多篇学术论文，相关研究成果成功入选 NAS 2024 国际会议，另有多篇区块链与隐私安全领域论文处于期刊审稿及投稿阶段。此外，他深度参与国家重点研发计划项目，主要研究多模态数据存储方案、基于 Tendermint 协议的分片网络架构，以及新型混合存储体系的设计与实现。
在科研之外，Mike 坚持自主学习，掌握流利中文。他热情助人，累计协助 50 余名国际留学生适应在华学习与生活。作为活动发起人，他牵头组织朋辈学业辅导、学术写作指导等活动。
未来，他将继续推进区块链基础设施研究，并促进赞比亚与中国之间的科技合作。
Boni Paulina
Boni Paulina, from Ghana, completed her Master of Arts in Foreign Linguistics and Applied Linguistics at Northwestern Polytechnical University. Her three-year journey at NPU was marked by academic dedication, cultural exchange, and personal transformation.
She was honored with the Outstanding Graduate Award. Her master's thesis, titled "Emotion Regulation Strategies for Anxiety Among Chinese as a Second Language Learners," explored an important issue in language learning and identified the "Suppression Paradox," extending Gross's emotion regulation model to Chinese as a Second Language learning. The work is currently under review for publication.
Outside academics, Paulina actively participated in International Cultural Festivals, represented Ghana, and joined the Belt and Road Academic Forum. Living in Xi'an helped her become more confident, responsible, and open-minded. In the future, she hopes to pursue a PhD at NPU and contribute to China-Africa educational and cultural exchanges.
Boni Paulina ，来自加纳，毕业于西北工业大学，获外国语言学及应用语言学文学专业硕士学位。她在西工大的三年学习生活，是一段充满学术提升、文化交融和个人成长的旅程。
硕士期间，主要关注汉语作为第二语言学习者的焦虑情绪调节策略，创新性提出“抑制悖论（Suppression Paradox）”，将 Gross 情绪调节模型拓展应用于汉语作为第二语言的学习场景，目前该项研究成果已进入期刊审稿阶段。
在学术之外，Paulina 积极参与校园文化活动，她在国际文化节上代表加纳进行文化展示，并参加“一带一路”学术论坛。在西安的求学岁月，使她愈发自信、富有责任感且更为包容开放。
未来，她计划继续在西工大攻读博士学位，为中非教育与文化交流贡献自身力量。
Christopher Samuneti
Christopher Samuneti, from Zambia, completed his master's degree in Civil Engineering at Northwestern Polytechnical University under the supervision of Professor Long Xu. He graduated in March 2026 from the School of Mechanics and Transportation Engineering and became one of the top-performing students in his cohort.
During his graduate studies, Christopher maintained strong academic performance and received the First-Class Scholarship from 2023 to 2026. He also won First Prize in the Oral Presentation Award at the NPU Scholarly Articles Forum in November 2024. His research focused on reinforced concrete frames with embedded metamaterials under progressive collapse, and he contributed as co-first author to an SCI journal paper currently under review in Engineering Structures.
Beyond academics, Christopher supported student learning through grading assistance, academic consultation, orientation volunteering, and student union activities. Looking ahead, he plans to pursue a PhD or work in industry as an R&D Engineer or Structural Analysis Specialist, applying his knowledge to real engineering challenges.
Christopher Samuneti，来自赞比亚，获土木工程专业硕士学位。在校期间，他综合表现优异，是同届毕业生中的优秀代表。
硕士求学阶段，Christopher 始终保持出色的学业成绩，并在 “一带一路”学术论坛获得口头报告一等奖。他的研究聚焦嵌入超材料的钢筋混凝土框架连续倒塌行为多尺度分析；以共同第一作者参与撰写的 SCI 学术论文，目前已投稿至Engineering Structures期刊，正处于审稿阶段。
学术之余，Christopher 积极投身学业帮扶与校园志愿服务，通过作业辅导、学术咨询、迎新志愿工作及学生会事务，助力同学学业发展、参与校园文化建设。
未来，他计划继续深造攻读博士学位，或进入行业从事研发工程师、结构分析专家等相关工作，将专业所学切实运用于实际工程问题。
Anis Alam
Anis Alam, from Pakistan, completed his master's degree in Materials Engineering at Northwestern Polytechnical University and was recognized as an Outstanding Graduate of the Class of 2026. His academic journey reflects strong research ability, teamwork, and dedication to advanced materials and energy systems.
During his master's studies, Anis published three research papers, including a first-author Q1 journal publication, and presented his work at international conferences. His achievements were recognized through several honors, including Star of Teamwork in 2023 and 2025, Star of Competition in 2024, Outstanding Student Prize in the 2024 Summer Language Study Challenge, and a Gold Medal in the Belt and Road International Invitational of the 14th Challenge Cup QinChuangYuan Platform National College Students' Entrepreneurship Competition.
Beyond academics, Anis served as a Peer Tutor, Teaching Assistant, and Campus Guide, helping other students and supporting international peers. He plans to pursue a PhD in Materials Science and Engineering, contributing to green energy, sustainability, and education in underserved communities.
Anis Alam ，来自巴基斯坦，获材料工程专业硕士学位。他的求学历程充分展现了扎实的科研能力、优秀的团队协作素养，以及在先进材料与能源系统领域潜心钻研的精神。
在硕士学习期间，Anis 累计发表 3 篇研究论文，其中一篇以第一作者身份发表于Q1 区期刊，并有多项研究成果在国际学术会议上进行展示。在校期间他斩获多项荣誉，包括 2023 年和 2025 年 “Star of Teamwork”、2024 年“Star of Competition”、2024 年西北工业大学暑期语言学习挑战优秀学生奖，以及第十四届“挑战杯”秦创原平台全国大学生创业计划竞赛 “一带一路” 国际邀请赛金奖。
在专业学习之外，Anis还担任学业朋辈导师、课程助教及校园向导，热心帮扶校内学子，并为国际留学生提供支持，帮助他们适应校园生活。
未来，他计划继续深造，攻读材料科学与工程专业博士学位，致力于为绿色能源发展、可持续建设以及欠发达地区教育事业贡献力量。
Asra Fadaeipour
Asra Fadaeipour, from Iran, completed her master's degree in Biology at Northwestern Polytechnical University. During her time at NPU, she developed as a researcher in a demanding and disciplined academic environment, strengthening her independence, analytical thinking, and persistence.
Her academic achievements include two published papers, one conference paper, and one book chapter. She received the Star of Academic Award in 2024 and was recognized as an Outstanding Graduate in 2026. She also won a poster award at the First Belt and Road Academic Forum and served as host of the Second Belt and Road Academic Forum.
For Asra, NPU provided valuable opportunities to work on research projects, learn new methods, and solve real scientific problems. These experiences deepened her interest in scientific exploration and helped prepare her for the next stage of her academic journey. After graduation, she will continue her PhD studies at NPU.
Asra Fadaeipour ，来自伊朗，获生物学专业硕士学位。在西工大求学期间，她在严谨规范的学术氛围中锤炼科研素养，进一步提升了独立科研能力、逻辑分析能力与持之以恒的毅力。
学术方面，她已发表2篇期刊论文、1篇会议论文，并参与撰写1章书籍章节。凭借不断钻研的科研精神，她获 2024 年度学术之星称号，被评为2026年优秀毕业生；同时在首届 “一带一路”学术论坛获海报展示奖项，并担任第二届 “一带一路”学术论坛主持人。
对 Asra 来说，西北工业大学为她提供了宝贵的科研项目历练机会，助力她学习前沿研究方法、攻克实际科学问题。这段经历加深了她对科研探索的热忱，也为下一阶段学术深造筑牢基础。
毕业后，她将继续在西北工业大学攻读博士学位。
Muhammad Sheraz
Muhammad Sheraz, from Pakistan, completed his Master of Engineering in Chemical Technology at Northwestern Polytechnical University from 2023 to 2026. His research focused on biomass-derived hydrogels for the removal of metal ions and antibiotics, contributing to sustainable materials and environmental remediation.
During his master's studies, he published five SCI papers, including four as first author, and produced one highly cited paper on cellulose-based electrochemical sensors. He also published two book chapters with IntechOpen and Springer Nature, served as co-editor of a book on hydrogels. In addition, he delivered oral and poster presentations at three academic forums and served as Session Chair and Host at the 3rd Belt and Road and 1st Shaanxi Academic Forum.
He received several honors, including Outstanding Graduate 2026, Wu Yajun Scholarship 2025, and Star of Academic Achievement in 2024 and 2025. In the future, he plans to pursue a PhD in polymer chemistry, focusing on sustainable functional materials and electrochemical energy storage.
Muhammad Sheraz ，来自巴基斯坦，获化学工程与工艺专业硕士学位。他的研究方向为生物质基水凝胶在金属离子与抗生素去除中的应用，为可持续材料研发与环境修复领域提供了有益探索。
在硕士学习期间，他发表了 5 篇 SCI 论文，其中 4 篇为第一作者。并参与撰写 2 个书籍章节，担任一本水凝胶相关书籍的联合编辑。此外，他在 3 场“一带一路”学术论坛中作口头报告和海报展示，并在第三届“一带一路”暨首届陕西省学术论坛中担任分会场主席和主持人。
卓越的学术能力使他斩获多项荣誉， 2026年优秀毕业生、2025 年吴亚军奖学金，以及 2024、2025 年度学术之星都是对他在西工大成长成才历程的充分认可。
未来，他计划攻读高分子化学专业博士学位，深耕可持续功能材料与电化学储能相关研究方向。
Continuing Excellence Across Borders
The seven graduates featured in Part Two represent the wide academic diversity of NPU's international student community. Their fields include management science, computer science, linguistics, civil engineering, materials engineering, biology, and chemical technology. Each story reflects a different path, but all are connected by effort, resilience, and the pursuit of excellence.
Their experiences show that studying at NPU is more than completing a degree. It is a journey of adapting to a new culture, building international friendships, contributing to research, serving the community, and preparing for the future.They have carried their dreams across borders, turned challenges into growth, and transformed their time at NPU into a foundation for future success.
