一、营会背景 Background
近年来，产业界和科技界最热门的名词莫过于人工智能（AI），诸如酷炫的无人驾驶技术，贴心智能语音向导，击败人类围棋世界冠军AlphaGo，与人类辩论高手竞技IBM智能辩论机器人，这些具有代表性的人工智能技术颠覆了人们对很多传统方式的认知，正在影响着所有领域。人工智能以它特有深度学习、分析和反馈能力带来生产力的巨大发展。人们说这是一场复兴，是一个黄金时代的来临。人工智能站到了时代的风口，越来越多的优秀人才开始向人工智能方向聚集。
In recent years, the most trending word in both industrial and technical community is nothing but Artificial Intelligence (AI), such as the fantastic driver-less cars, smart guide, AlphaGo which even defeated the World Go Champion, and the IBM debate robot which rivals the human debate master. All these representative creations of AI technology have completely altered people’s view towards conventions, influencing all fields. The amazing analyzing ability and its extremely fast feedback brought by AI’s unique deep learning are boosting global productivity. It is said that AI shall bring humanity a new golden era. Right now, AI serves as a gateway towards a promising future, more and more talents pouring into this field.

为满足学生对人工智能学习的需求，同时增进学生的国际交流、人际沟通与合作能力，增强其面对世界新发展的领导力、适应能力和发展能力，培养具有“人工智能+全球胜任力”的高层次、复合型人才，西北工业大学将于2021年7月3日—7月12日举办首届“未来AI大师”国际夏令营。
In order to meet our students’ for cognizing AI, enhance international exchange, and simultaneously deepen the communication and cooperation between global students, NPU(Northwestern Polytechnical University) will hold the first “AI Masters” summer camp during July 3rd to July 12th. Through the event, NPU aims at strengthening students’ leadership, adaption and develop capacity to global development, and cultivate High-level, composite talents who are capable of understanding AI technology.
二、营会特色 Characteristics
特色一：邀请耶鲁大学、普林斯顿大学、阿德莱德大学、香港城市大学、西北工业大学等国内外高校的国际知名学者和计算机业界大咖开展启蒙授课，组建一流师资团队讲授专业基础课程和应用方向拓展课程，并亲自指导实践环节；
1) NPU will invite the wold-renown scholars and experts from Yale University, Princeton University, University of Adelaide, City University of Hong Kong, and NPU, to give lectures which enlighten students. NPU will also form an elite teachers’ team to give lessons regarding basic AI technique and its application. In the project session, you will be guided by these teachers.
特色二：营会采用分级设组的方式，分为启蒙探索组（适合于对AI感兴趣的跨专业的同学和低年级计算机相关专业同学）、专业拔高组（能够参与一定难度的实践项目开发）、竞赛创新组（以“互联网+”等竞赛为背景，在导师的指导下开展前期训练，有助于在大赛中取得成绩）；
2) Our faculty will divide students into several groups, which are Enlightenment Group(Beginners who are interested in AI, and low-grade students who study Computer Science), Professional Group(students who are capable of participating in project development), and Competition Group(students aiming at earning a rank in competitions relevant to Internet Plus, they will be trained under our teachers’ guide).
特色三：营会为营员提供云计算资源支持，保证营员拥有实战操作环境和真实的AI体验；
3) NPU will provide students with cloud computing resources, to ensure the latter will have the realistic operating environment and AI experience.
特色四：营会为营员提供人脸识别、机器人、智慧金融等AI科技公司（公司类型也可能微调）现场观摩体验的机会；
4) NPU will provide students with opportunities to visit AI corporations in the fields of facial recognition, robot, smart finance etc.
特色五：营会部分学习实践项目可进行西工大学生2学分认定，全部项目可对西工大计算机学院学生进行2学分认定；
5) Students who participate in certain project could earn 2 credits acknowledged by NPU; Students who participate in all projects could earn 2 credits acknowledged by NPU School of Computer Science.
特色六：营会活动充满趣味，涉及讲座、授课、小组讨论、角色扮演、体育运动、演讲、分享、自我反思和应用、策略游戏和团队游戏等多种形式的活动；
6) The summer camp will hold multiple activities, including lectures, lessons, group discussion, role-playing, speech, sports, strategy game, group games, etc.

四、学生个人收获 Personal Development
营会采用“AI+国际化+领导力+视野拓展”的内容设计模式，“模块式+项目式+体验式+团队式”的实施模式。学生可感受到国际优质教育体验，享受到领域内顶尖教师执教，深度领略人工智能前沿科创知识以及极富创意、想象、创新与互动的学习体验。
The summer camp will employ the pattern which focuses on AI, internationalization, leadership and horizon expansion to design its very content and make it modular, practical, easy to immerse, and team-focused. Students will be accessible to high-quality educational resources--the cutting edge of AI technology, and taught by top-tier lecturers, allowing you to study innovatively and fantastically.
营员将以10人团队的形式完成全部的学习和实践活动。每个小组配备1位英语和2位中英双语志愿者带领。小组成员来自不同国家、地区、学校。拥有不同文化背景的营员可在此共同学习、生活、成长。
All students will be divided into groups of ten to complete all study and projects. Each team will be guided by one English-Speaking volunteer and two volunteers who can speak both English and Mandarin. The group members will be from different countries, regions, and universities so that students with different cultural backgrounds could study, live and grow together.
成功完成专业及实践课程的同学可获得含金量十足的结业证书！
The students who accomplish specialized courses and projects will earn themselves a significant certificate.
五、申请方式及时间 Application
1.营员选拔标准
（1）热爱学习和钻研，对人工智能、云计算、大数据、物联网等计算机专业领域相关技术具有浓厚兴趣；
（2）具有一定的英语交流能力；
（3）专业不限
1. Eligibility of Students
1) Applicants who want to study and possess a great interest in AI, Cloud Computing, Big Data, Internet of Things, and any technique related to Computer Science.
2) Applicants can speak English. (preferred)
3) Applicant’s major is not limited.
