2018年5月1日下午，西工大国际教育学院留学生首届板球高校邀请赛在友谊校区运动场进行决赛，历时两天的留学生板球邀请赛圆满落幕。
On the afternoon of May 1st, 2018, the first cricketcollege invitational tournament for international college students of NPU wasconducted on the playground of Youyi Campus. The cricket league for international students ended successfully after two-day's matching.
此次板球邀请赛共有5所院校的5支队伍参加比赛，分别是西北工业大学队、西安交通大学队、长安大学队、西安石油大学队和延安大学队。根据比赛规则，每队各有球员11人，其中1人为球队队长，每局比赛至少进行8轮，每轮包含由同一个投球手连续投出的六个球。
Five teams from five different universities participating in the cricketcollege invitational tournament, namely theywerethe Northwestern Polytechnical UniversityTeam, Xi'an Jiaotong UniversityTeam, Chang'an UniversityTeam, Xi'an Shiyou University Teamand Yan'an UniversityTeam. According to the rules of the game, each team hadeleven players, one of whomwasthe captain of the team. Each game hadat least eight rounds. Each round consistedof six balls continuously thrown by the same pitcher.
下午2点30冠亚军争夺赛中，球员们早早到场做准备活动。随着裁判的哨响，整个球场上的气氛瞬间紧张了起来，球员们球场上激情洋溢。比赛过程中，所有队员全力以赴，攻防交错，拼抢激烈，接杀、击杀、二次击球等板球动作交叉展现，比赛精彩异常。经过激烈的比拼，来自长安大学的Sultan zalmi队和来自西北工业大学的NPU Vikings队分别获得冠军和亚军。
At 2:30 pm, in the championship competition,allplayers arrived early to make preparations. As the whistle of the referee rang, the atmosphere on the entire stadiumwas full filled withexcitement.All the players went all outpassionately, attacking and defending, strivingalong withthe cricket action such as catching, killing, and hitting the ball were exhibited. After fierce competition, the SultanZalmiTeam from Chang'an University and the VikingsTeam from Northwestern Polytechnical University won the championship and runner-up respectively.
此次板球比赛留学生热情高涨，积极报名，组织有序，不仅向本校师生展现了他们积极向上的青春风采，同时也增进了兄弟院校留学生之间的友谊，给其他学校留下了西工大“公诚勇毅”的工大印象。
The enthusiasm of international students, active registration, and orderly organization in the cricket matchdosenot only show their positive youthful demeanor to the teachers and students, but also enhancethe friendship among the international students from differentuniversities, leaving the otheruniversitieswith the impression“Loyalty, Integrity, Courage andPerseverance” ofNPU.
西工大留学生首届板球高校邀请赛的成功举办，也为西工大留学生系列特色课外活动增光添彩。目前我国板球比赛正处于发展阶段，相信我校留学生的板球比赛会助推这项“绅士的游戏”传播开来，吸引越来越多的体育爱好者关注和参与。
The first cricketcollege invitational tournament has heldsuccessfullyby the International Student Organization of Northwestern Polytechnical University,alsohasaddedto the extracurricular activities ofNPUinternationalstudents. At present, China's cricket matches are in the development stage,soit is believed that the cricket matches of internationalstudents will boost the spread of this “gentleman’s game” and attract more sports enthusiasts to participatein.
